Ulises Mejias is a professor of communication studies at SUNY Oswego. He is currently a Fulbright Specialist fellow and co-founder of the Non-Aligned Technologies Movement and the network Tierra Común. Prof. Mejias’s research interests include critical internet studies, philosophy and sociology of technology, and political economy of digital media. He is author of the book “Off the Network: Disrupting the Digital World” and co-author of the book “The Costs of Connection: How Data is Colonizing Human Life and Appropriating it for Colonialism”.
